Job Title: Weekend Housekeeper
Location: Windsor, SL4, Berkshire
Client: Family of five with 3 children & small dog
Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Salary: £25 per hour
Job Description
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Weekend Housekeeper to support a busy and welcoming family of five in Windsor, SL4. This role ensures the family’s high standards are upheld over the weekend and offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative and well-structured household environment.
The family’s household team includes a full-time housekeeper, with whom the Weekend Housekeeper will work closely to maintain continuity in care and standards. The family has three children (aged 3, 5, and 3 months) and a miniature dachshund, so a child-friendly and dog-friendly attitude is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties:
– Perform all general housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and organisation in the home.
– Assist with ironing to keep the family’s clothing organised and in excellent condition.
– Uphold the high standards set by the full-time housekeeper, ensuring the home remains well-maintained.
– During weekends when the family is away, focus on deep cleaning tasks to maintain the property’s pristine condition.
– Assist with packing and unpacking when required.
Pet Care Duties:
Walk the family’s miniature dachshund for short walks, particularly when the dog does not accompany the family during weekends.
Child-Friendly Support:
– Provide light assistance with the children in the morning as needed.
– Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanour around the children, fostering a positive environment.
Team Collaboration:
– Coordinate closely with the full-time housekeeper to ensure a seamless transition and consistent standards.
– Communicate openly with the family to address any specific needs or requests.
Personal Qualities:
– Exceptional attention to detail and high professional standards.
– Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
– Flexible and able to adapt to the family’s changing needs.
– Friendly and comfortable working in a family-oriented environment.
– Child and dog-friendly, maintaining a harmonious household atmosphere.
Requirements:
– Previous housekeeping experience in high-standard households, with references.
– Strong understanding of professional cleaning techniques and care for fine fabrics.
– Experience with ironing and wardrobe management.
– Comfortable with dogs and able to handle basic pet care duties.
– Ability to work independently and uphold the family’s established standards.
