Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper/Personal Assistant to join a welcoming family of five in Windsor, SL4. The family consists of the parents, three young children aged 3, 5, and 3 months old, and a miniature dachshund dog. This role involves comprehensive housekeeping duties along with some personal assistant responsibilities, ensuring the smooth running of their beautiful 5-bedroom countryside home.

The family has a well-established household team, including a nanny who has been with them for three years and a housekeeper who has been with them for five years. The current housekeeper is leaving to start a family but will provide a thorough handover once the new Housekeeper/PA starts. Additionally, the family employs a chef who assists with dinner parties and special occasions.

The ideal candidate will be child-friendly, as while no childcare duties are required, a friendly demeanour around the children is essential. The candidate must also be comfortable with dogs, as pet care duties will be part of the role. The position is available immediately, ensuring a seamless transition with the current housekeeper.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:

• Perform all general housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and order in a 5-bedroom countryside home.
• Care for fine fabrics, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe management.
• Handle minor repairs and maintenance of household items as needed.
• Assist with household organisation and tidying.

Personal Assistant Duties:

• Book appointments and manage household schedules.
• Order groceries and manage household supplies.
• Handle phone calls and correspondence on behalf of the family.

Pet Care Duties:

• Take the family’s mini dachshund to vet appointments
• Daily feeding
• Daily walks
• Optional dog sitting (the family has a dog sitter if needed).

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with the current nanny and the chef.
• Maintain open communication with the family to understand and meet their needs.
• Coordinate with the departing housekeeper for a smooth handover.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in housekeeping and personal assistant roles with references.
• Valid driving license and own car, due to the location of the house.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with families with children is a plus.
• Must be comfortable with dogs and capable of handling basic pet care duties.
