We’re recruiting for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to support a gentleman in his five-bedroom home in Cookham, Berkshire.
This is a lovely long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping a home beautifully organised and enjoys preparing fresh, simple and healthy food. The principal works from home, so discretion and an awareness of working quietly around the household will be important.
The role is two afternoons per week, with flexibility to work Tuesdays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays.

A New Opportunity for a Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook in Cookham, Berkshire
This position would suit an experienced private Housekeeper who enjoys taking responsibility for the day-to-day care of a home and is confident working independently.
Alongside general housekeeping, laundry and ironing, cooking is an important part of the role. The principal enjoys fresh, nutritious food with a focus on clean, organic ingredients, so the successful candidate should be comfortable preparing simple dishes such as steamed vegetables, fresh salads and other uncomplicated healthy meals.
The household is looking for someone trustworthy and proactive who notices what needs doing, uses their initiative and would ideally like to become a valued long-term part of the household.
About the Household
The role is based in a five-bedroom private home in Cookham and supports one gentleman.
Not all five bedrooms require regular cleaning, and the position is focused on maintaining the areas of the home that are in regular use to a high standard.
As the principal works from home, the successful Housekeeper will need to be discreet and comfortable working considerately around someone who may be working during their hours.
