Family Background
A welcoming family based near Ascot, Berkshire, is seeking a professional career nanny to support their busy household. The family includes 2 children of school age and a baby at home. They are looking for a nurturing, organised, and flexible nanny who thrives in a dynamic environment and values collaboration with other household staff. The family also has a friendly dog, so you must be comfortable working around pets.
Duties
The role involves ensuring the children’s routines, care, and development are well supported, alongside managing schedules and collaborating with the family and household team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare:
- Provide attentive and loving care tailored to each child’s needs.
- Oversee school drop-offs/pick-ups and plan engaging after-school activities.
- Organise age-appropriate outings, playdates, and educational activities.
- Support with homework, reading, and other developmental tasks.
- Prepare nutritious and varied meals for the children.
- Maintain routines during travel and adapt as needed.
- Household Support:
- Manage children’s schedules, appointments, and holiday plans.
- Keep children’s rooms, play areas, and belongings organised.
- Handle children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation.
- Collaborate effectively with other household staff to ensure seamless operations.
Additional Requirements:
- Previous experience as a nanny in a similar role, including caring for children of varying ages.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain structure in a busy household.
- Willingness to travel with the family (up to two months annually).
- Comfortable with occasional weekend work and proxy-parenting.
- Pet-friendly, as the family has a small dog.
- A confident driver with a clean licence; a nanny car will be provided for work purposes.
Location
The family home is near Ascot, Berkshire.
Days/Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with occasional weekend hours and flexibility during busy periods.
Languages
You must speak English fluently.
