As an Estate Worker, you’ll be joining a supportive crew that values hard work, a good sense of humour, and a shared appreciation for the great outdoors.
What This Estate Worker Role Involves
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break. During the shoot season (October to January), occasional extra hours and weekend work may be required.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Grounds and landscape maintenance: mowing, hedge trimming, verge cutting, planting
- Footpath, track, and driveway upkeep
- Fencing repair and woodland care
- Maintaining and operating estate vehicles and outdoor machinery
- Preparing for shoot days, including setup, equipment checks, and guest logistics
The role is varied and requires a proactive, can-do attitude. You’ll be working both independently and alongside the estate team to keep everything running smoothly year-round.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role
We’re looking for someone who loves the outdoors and has solid practical experience. The ideal Estate Worker will be:
- Skilled in estate maintenance, landscaping, or similar work
- Confident operating machinery and hand tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Physically fit and happy to handle manual tasks
- A team player with a friendly, discreet, and professional manner
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
Certifications in chainsaw use or machinery operation would be a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.
