Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and caring After-school Nanny to join our family in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. This role involves providing care and support for our 2 children aged 5 and 3 during weekday afternoons, ensuring their well-being and happiness until our return from work.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties:
- Pick up the children from school and nursery
- Engage the children in stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Prepare and serve a nutritious dinner for the children.
- Assist with bath time and bedtime routine.
- Supervise and ensure safety at all times.
Household Support:
- Tidy up after the children and encourage them to participate in cleaning up their toys and belongings.
- Light household chores related to the children’s activities (e.g., laundry, meal cleanup).
- Occasionally assist with children’s meal planning and grocery shopping if needed.
Personal Qualities
- Warm, nurturing, and patient personality
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare, preferably as a nanny with references.
- Valid driving license and clean driving record.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS.
