Position: Full-Time Nanny
Location: Upper Basildon, Berkshire
Start Date: Immediate start for the right candidate
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 gross per year
This warm and welcoming family is looking for a dedicated and experienced nanny to support their busy household. Both parents work full-time, and they need someone reliable to help with their two children: a soon-to-be 5-year-old daughter and a 19-month-old son. The family values loyalty, discretion, and a proactive approach to childcare. Their home in Upper Basildon offers a nurturing and friendly environment for the right candidate to thrive.
Schedule
- Term Time: 4 days per week, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- School Holidays: 5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- School Runs:
- Walk the daughter to school in the morning and collect her at 3:30pm.
- Childcare:
- Provide full-day care for the 19-month-old son on days he is not in nursery (he attends nursery 1 day each week in term time)
- Engage the son in age-appropriate activities, play, and outings.
- Ensure his daily routine, including nap times, is followed.
- Afternoon Routine:
- After school pickup, care for both children until parents return.
- Prepare and serve tea for the children.
- General:
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience working as a nanny with similar-aged children.
- Qualifications:
- DBS check (current and valid)
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- Skills:
- Confident and reliable, with a proactive approach to childcare.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster a positive environment.
- Driver: A confident driver is preferred, though not essential if local and able to manage school runs on foot.
- Personal Traits: Loyal, trustworthy, and able to commit long-term.
