Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to assist a group of family and friends during their stay in a beautiful 6-bedroom house in the Cotswolds from 3rd to 15th August. The Housekeeper will provide essential support to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests.
The ideal candidate will have a background as a housekeeper or yacht steward or similar experience, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and service. A cleaner will visit the property 2-3 times during the stay for deep cleans, but the Housekeeper will act as an extra pair of hands, helping with daily tasks and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will also assist the Chef with prep for mealtimes and cleanup afterwards.
There is no accommodation available for this role so you should be able to commute each day.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties:
- Assist with laundry, including washing, ironing, and folding.
- Make beds and provide turndown service.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the house, including common areas and guest rooms.
- Help the chef with clearing up after meals.
- Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas.
- Provide general support to ensure the comfort of all guests.
Personal Qualities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated.
- Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the group.
- Friendly and able to work well in a team environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping roles with references.
- Background as a yacht stewardess or similar high-service environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
