Temporary Chef in The Cotswolds (Filled Position)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to cook for a group of family and friends during their stay in a 6-bedroom house in the Cotswolds from 3rd to 15th August. The Chef will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner daily, providing classic English cuisine for the guests. There will be between 8 and 12 people for each meal.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing traditional English dishes and a passion for using fresh, local ingredients. The clients are happy to provide the ingredients if given a list by the chef. The Chef should be adaptable, accommodating the dietary preferences and requirements of all guests, ensuring a memorable culinary experience. There is one child – 6 years old – but they will eat the same as the adults.

There is no accommodation available with this role so you should be in commutable distance.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking Duties:

• Plan and prepare lunch and dinner menus
• Cook meals daily for the group, ensuring high quality
• Accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences of the guests.
• Collaborate with the Housekeeper for meal setup and cleanup.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a chef with references.
• Strong knowledge of classic English cuisine.
• Ability to work independently.
